The lettering on the face of the tuner (reminding you that what you're looking at is a "High Fidelity Magnificent Magnavox" in pretty white cursive and gold deco lettering). Pulling or prying gently on the front of the cartridge should unseat it, after which it should essentially unplug from the back socket. Wiggling side to side gently may help. The needle looks a little worn, but the cantilever looks undamaged. The needle is held on by the gold colored retainer at the base of the cartridge.Motorola, Magnavox, RCA usually the amp is the only thing worth while and that should be rebuilt. It was mid fi, but has the potential to be used in a HiFi rig with a bit of work. Of course there are always exceptions but it really gets down to what you want to get out of it.
